Valentine's Day is celebrated annually on February 14th. It is the holiday that gives couples another reason to express their feelings, but also the holiday that helps single people meet their soul mate. Here are the traditions and customs around Valentine's Day.
Valentine’s Day is celebrated annually around the world, but under different names, but also on other days. For example, in Latin America, Valentine's Day is known as Love Day and Friendship Day.
Also in Brazil, Valentine’s Day is celebrated on June 12, the day before St. Anthony, the patron saint of marriage. Valentine's Day customs vary from culture to culture. Over time, Valentine's Day has given many gifts, but the modern tradition of giving chocolate as a gift came in the late 1800s from Richard Cadbury, son of John Cadbury, the famous chocolate maker.
In Japan, women are the ones who give gifts to men on February 14th. It's true that I only give away chocolate, and the chocolate I choose differs depending on the type of relationship. For example, the normal one is offered out of obligation to bosses, colleagues and friends, and the fine one, to the lover, fiancé or husband.
And in South Korea, women offer chocolate to men. And they give women anything but chocolate. In Finland, many couples get engaged or get married on February 14, but this day is more about friendship than love. According to tradition, it is an occasion for gatherings between friends, who make symbolic gifts. In some parts of Britain, on Valentine's Day, girls put bay leaves under their pillows and eat only salted eggs, believing that this is how they will dream of their chosen one overnight.
This holiday is celebrated all over the world. And of course we also have a lot of jokes, besides all the love and sweetness. Bemorepanda has collected this funny top for you.

As many people are getting bored during self-isolation, a couple from Hungary have been dressing up as their favorite films everyday.
They manage to recreate iconic film scenes with household props, eggs and of course - toilet paper.
The couple, Fanni and Norbert, have been dressing up from April and since then, their efforts have been noticed on Facebook and went viral.
Their low-budget production designs are not even close to Hollywood studios but one thing is for sure – they are definitely more creative.

The original idea came from Fanni, who is a huge movie fan and Norbi, who is more into 70s and '80s movies. “When we were still at university, we loved dressing up whenever we had the chance so thanks to those days, we have had a lot of accessories and costumes."
Fanni told Bored Panda: “We have been thinking about something like this for quite some time but now we finally have plenty of time to make it happen.

At the same time, one of Norbert's gigs is being a Red Nose Clown Doctor, which goes to sick kids in hospitals to make them smile.
"We mainly choose themes for the series based on which setting we can pull off and which is relatable to the topic of quarantine in general," Fanni added. "We have been thinking about something like this for quite some time but now we finally have plenty of time to make it happen."

Heart-breaking! Gene Campbell (89 years old) and Dorothy (88 years old) have been married for 60 years and have never been separated. But for two days, the pensioner from Kirkland, Washington, was quarantined in a medical center, after being diagnosed with the deadly virus. Every day, the old woman comes to see the love of her life, because it may be the last time.
Hunchbacked, with tears in her eyes and emotion in her throat, Dorothy Campbell came to the Life Care Center in Kirkland, Washington to see the man who had been her shadow for 60 years. A young man comes to grab her arm and guide her to the window behind which she waits impatiently, "like a candle in a cuckoo's nest," Gene Campbell, her husband.
The old woman looks up from the ground and recognizes Charlie Campbell, her only son. He tries to smile at her, but a stream of tears floods his wrinkled cheeks. The man was diagnosed with COVID-19 or SARS-CoV-2 after staff at the Kirkland nursing home where he was unable to isolate the retirees well enough from the deadly microbe, in front of which they are safe victims. In vain the federal authorities have launched an investigation and want to find out the culprits of the contamination of the elderly.
For Gene and Dorothy, time is running out and every moment can be the last for them. The Kirkland Asylum has become the epicenter of coronavirus in the United States with 6 deaths out of a total of 14 recorded nationwide. Most elderly people at the medical center suffer from chronic diseases and are safe victims of coronavirus contamination. Gene puts her trembling hand on the phone and calls Dorothy. He tells her that he loves her and that she feels good. He makes a discreet sign to Charlie and the boy understands that his father has just told him with his eyes that he doesn't think he will live long and that Dorothy will need all his care. They will never touch each other again because Gene doesn't want to make his wife sick. He resigned because he knew she was safe.
