After this period of self-isolation at home, we emerge either weaker or fatter. Those who do not know or do not like to cook can enter the first category, and in the absence of any temptation from the fridge, eat less. But in the second category you can find thouse who are bored, and enjoy cooking or snacking.
Do you belong to the category of those who simply cannot refrain from ranting? Find out that the chaotic meal between meals is the number one enemy of the figure. Firstly because you risk exceeding the measure and consume too many calories, secondly because this type of "snack" consists of foods high in fat or too sweet.
Here are some tricks to keep you busy!
Get rid of temptations. First of all, you are no longer stocked with chocolates, biscuits, chips, in the idea that it is "better to be at home". If they are, you'll think of them.
Eat neatly, at fixed hours and every three hours. This way, you do not risk hypoglycaemia, do not lower your blood glucose so that you feel the need to replace it. Nutritionists recommend small and thick meals rather than staying hungry. Then you fall easier in temptation and eat more calories than necessary.
The two snacks of the day contain low calorie but healthy foods. Give up pastry, chips and biscuits with chocolate and choose natural yogurts, oily fruits, bananas, raw vegetables (carrot pieces, gooseberries, cucumbers, peppers).
Difference between hunger and temptation.Nowadays, we do not eat from hunger, in the true sense of the word. We crave lust, boredom or nervousness. One trick is to use the fruit test: ask yourself if you have eaten a fruit. If so, then you may be hungry. If not, it's probably just a craving for something sweet or unhealthy, in which case it's good to educate yourself not to make immediate decisions.
Don't forget to drink water. The body may misinterpret brain signals, and what feels like a craving for "something" may be a sign of thirst. Drink a glass and wait a few minutes. If your appetite disappears, your body just needs to hydrate.
Consume more protein and fiber. Proteins reduce appetite, especially if they are eaten at breakfast. Fibers (from whole grains, rice, raw fruits and vegetables) contain many vitamins and minerals and give you a feeling of satiety.
If you feel the need for sweets, you can prepare something healthy and natural in your home. A delicious "chocolate" can be made quickly from a teaspoon of cocoa, one of cinnamon, seeds of all kinds (what you have in the house: sunflower, pumpkin, nuts and honey for homogenization. You can also add dry pollen for added vitamins and minerals that strengthen immunity.

Self-isolation is such a regime when the maximum number of people do not allow contacts with each other. Simply they spend all their time at home and go out only in case of an important need. For example, buy products at the supermarket.
This is an important and practically way to deal with a pandemic. The less you contact people, the lower your risk of getting sick or infecting others. Staying healthy right now is an important help to society and the medical system, which is under heavy pressure. After all, if at the same time more people get sick than the medical facilities are able to accept, someone will not be helped. To prevent this terrible situation, stay home. Moreover, if you come up with different activities, it will not be boring at all.
From a legal point of view, the individual quarantine is applied in two ways:
(1)institutionalized quarantine (most often referred under the term quarantine), when an individual is placed by authorities in special quarantine centers for a certain period of time;
(2)home isolation (also referred to as self-isolation), when an individual has the obligation to remain in the home area for a period of time decided by the authorities.
Contact with other people should be avoided so to keep away the coronavirus infection. The World Health Organization recommends not approaching others closer than a meter, and the American Center for Disease Control and Prevention - 1.8 meters. It is believed that at this distance the virus particles will not be transmitted by coughing or sneezing. Thatās why at home we feel safe, the feeling of safety is the most important now. Self-isolation means safety.

Not the design we wanted, but the design we deserved.
Another viral thread appeared on Twitter. It began with the post of Sarah Schauer, who asked readers to share the worst photographs of design or architecture that they have. Here is the original tweet:
Social network users readily uncovered their stocks of photos. We collected the most dubious architectural and interior solutions.
This is not a house, but a nightmare.
I donāt know about the worst, I would put 3/5.
I deeply hate this house.
And here is my minute of glory!
I love the toilet slide.
This is the restroom in the house I was planning to buy. The whole floor was like that.
I donāt know if this house can be called artsy or crazy. Depends on which room to look at. Yes, these are all rooms of the same house. And he can be yours for 300,000 dollars!
I lived here, and I had to lean on the bathtub to brush my teeth. And the toilet was impossible to use with the door closed.
- I have more!
- For the first time I feel such a threat from the toilet.
A kitchen sink in a house that I rented for 2 years.
I think we have a winner in discomfort! And yes, I am in the photo. I was waiting for the opportunity to share this masterpiece of architectural design. Enjoy it.
The problem is solved.
The concept of an "open bathroom" in action.
Doors to the bedroom, bathroom and wardrobe.
They made their choice, and this is not the best choice.
The house that I watched. The room itself is round, and for some reason electricity has been brought to the platform.
I challenge you to find something worse.
Not really a house, but could not help but share this masterpiece with you:

āI call this coronavirus nothing else but an psychosis and I will never refuse it,ā says Alexander Lukashenko.
The authorities of Belarus reacted to a dangerous disease in a different way. School children continue to attend classes, mass events are held, including a football championship, army exercises. Minsk left the borders open (but all neighbors closed them). Izvestia understood the causes and possible consequences of such inaction.
Vodka as a cure against the virus
The number of people infected with coronavirus in Belarus on April 23 reached 11,289. According to the Ministry of Health, 1,740 patients recovered and there are 79 deaths.
In neighboring countries, the situation is similar. In Ukraine, the virus has killed 220 people. Kiev has taken unprecedented security measures. Closed metro, shopping centers, restaurants, canceled classes in schools, intercity and international transport links. Limited urban traffic.
In Belarus, on the other hand, the situation regarding the pandemic is more relaxed.
- Despite some criticism, I call this coronavirus only psychosis and I will never refuse it, because I have already experienced many such situations with you, and we know what this led to. I am absolutely convinced that this is another psychosis that will be beneficial for someone and harm someone, says Alexander Lukashenko.
According to the Belarusian leader, one should not panic, but "just work."
- Especially now, in the countryside, it's nice to watch on TV: people work on a tractor, no one talks about the virus. The tractor will cure everyone. The field heals everyone, āhe says.
For prevention, Lukashenko suggested washing his hands more often, having breakfast, lunch and dinner on time, as well as going to the bathhouse and drinking vodka.
- Iām a non-drinker, but recently Iām jokingly saying that vodka should not only wash your hands, but, probably, on the day of 40-50 g in terms of pure alcohol - poison this virus. But not at work, the president advises.
There is no need to do anything
Belarusian students continue to attend classes. They were not transferred to distance learning, nor were they announced early vacations.
- Old people suffer, not children. Why do we now declare a holiday so that these children go to grandparents. Old people under 80 years old, over 80 years old: āAh! Grandson arrived. ā We will kill the elderly! Therefore, there is nothing to do, says Lukashenko.
University students continue to study, including at BSU, where infected people were identified. Only the Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU) declared quarantine for two weeks, but the pause ended on March 15.
Students at the same time refuse to attend lectures.
- "In my group of 30 people, only 4ā5 go to classesā says a student at the Minsk Linguistic University.
Mass events are held. The Belarus Football Championship remains the only championship in Europe. Moreover, matches are held with the audience. On March 20, 3.6 thousand people watched the game between the Brest Dynamo and Smolevichs, and one thousand spectators watched the battle of the Minsk Dynamo and RUH.
On March 23, the active phase of a comprehensive verification of the combat and mobilization readiness of the Armed Forces began. 6 thousand people took part in the maneuvers, including one thousand from the reserve. As part of the audit, border security is being tested, anti-tank systems, artillery, MLRS, and aviation are used. Defense Ministry spokesman Vladimir Makarov says the exercise program has not changed because of the coronavirus.
Belarus left the borders open. The irony, however, is that all neighbors closed the borders in turn. First, Ukraine took restrictive measures, then Lithuania, Latvia and Poland, and the last - on the night of March 17-18, Russia. Moscow explained that Minsk is ignoring the requirements of the World Health Organization (WHO).
Minsk Airport is not as active as before. Canceled 70 flights to Europe and Asia. According to journalists, a third of Belavia's planes are on the ground.
Passengers, however, are seen at the carefree airport staff. - They donāt check the temperature, they donāt ask what country they flew through, they donāt take any tests for coronavirus, there are no thermal scanners. Nothing at all. You take a suitcase and you leave, āone of the passengers says.
The officials do not greatly reassure the citizens of the country. The situation is getting difficult by economic difficulties. In the third week of March alone, the national currency fell 9.35% against the dollar (22 kopecks).
There was a stir in the shops.
- Selling everything that is cheaper. And not only from the category of "necessary", but also from the category "let it be." Great demand for buckwheat, rice, pasta, vegetable oil. Take tea, coffee for future use. āHapunā has been going on for several days, we only have time to lay out the goods on the shelves, the manager of one of the retail chains told reporters.
Queues are also noticed in household appliance stores.
- The demand for TVs, refrigerators and other large household appliances has grown, as is usually the case with our devaluations. Those who need it anyway buy it, but they put off the purchase. Buyers are well aware that then it will be more expensive, āsays the seller.
Several dozen petitions appeared on the Internet demanding quarantine. One of them collected 16 thousand signatures.
Experts say that the introduction of quarantine is has many negative psychological effects.
- Lukashenko has long been creating the image of Belarus as an island of stability and security. To a certain extent, he became a hostage to this picture of the world, āpolitical scientist Valery Karbalevich says to Izvestia.
Belarusian analyst Dmitry Bolkunets explains the behavior of Minsk with a set of political and economic reasons. According to him, companies and educational institutions are not ready for the transition to a remote mode of operation.
- For this, there is no experience, no funds, no online colaboration platforms. The quarantine will lead to a halt in the industry, and this is an additional cost, the source said.
According to expert estimates, the introduction of quarantine, together with a collapse in world markets, will lead to a reduction in republican exports by 30ā40%, and a drop in GDP by 20%.
- This year the presidential elections in Belarus will be held. It is clear that the deterioration of the economic crisis will anger the electorate. Therefore, it was decided to pretend that there is no infection, as the Bolkunets emphasizes.
