Part of the massive Blue Mountain Collingwood Village, Westin Trillium House is just as close as you can get to some of the best skiing in Ontario. Just a few steps from the slopes, guests can buy their pass and enjoy any of the 42 routes over 360 hectares of rugged terrain. In addition to ski schools and children's programs (they will love the nearby water center), families can enjoy snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, snow adventures, snowmobile rentals, or ice fishing. The slopes become a perfect terrain for mountain biking and hiking in summer, while other sports include golf, sailing, and water sailing. One of the most visited vacation spots in Northeast Ontario, Temagami is an ideal location for those who want to taste the vast province of the extensive. Smooth Water can provide everything you need for overnight expeditions in nearby provincial parks and surrounding untouched crown lands as a full-fledged professional.

5. Bondi Village Resort, Dwight

Bondi Village Resort near Dwight in Muskoka has been proudly owned and operated by the family since it opened in 1905 and has been offering large-scale holiday rentals ever since. Highlights of the stay include access to the resort's large sandy beach and miles and miles of navigable water on the beautiful bay lake. In addition to many family-friendly activities - Bondi offers boat rentals (canoes are free), a children's playground, games room, shuffleboard, volleyball, plus a fun Frisbee golf course, just to name a few - guests can access endless hiking trails through more than 600 acres of untouched surrounding wilderness (winter is coming, some of these trails are well-kept for cross-country skiing). Situated on a 574-acre plot of land on gross Georgian Bay, the All-Season Inn at Cobble Beach is close to Owen Sound and offers guests a remarkable Canadian vacation experience. Located in the scenic, rural countryside of Haliburton Highlands, the adult-only Heather Lodge in Minden can trace its roots as a holiday destination back to its founding in 1942. Other activities include swimming and sunbathing on the private sandy beach, canoes and hunting boats, a full-service marina, volleyball court, horseshoe pits, and a children’s playground. There is also a golf course nearby, plus a fun mini-putt fun.

 

The resort's unique accommodations include "floating villas." These house bars are equipped with bathrooms, full kitchens, and comfortable beds and can sleep up to six guests. Above all, you can undress at home and go to the next big fishing spot. Larger groups of landowners should consider one of the resort's spring cottages. The largest of these consists of five bedrooms, two bathrooms, a spacious kitchen, a separate living room, a gas fireplace, and a barbecue. The smaller two-bedroom apartments are just as well-appointed and are perfect for families and groups of friends.
