Why Cyberpunk 2077 is a big deal and Everyone Loves Playing It - Bemorepanda Review

You can forget the 8 years of vigil, the constant delays of the launch and the overwhelming level of hype. Cyberpunk 2077 is here! For many of us, this game is clear proof that CD Projekt RED is capable of creating something more than wizards. These Polish boys have shown that they can far exceed our expectations. Bemorepanda recommends this game.
Is it worth the attention ?! We say - "YES!", Because this game is meant to start the new generation of consoles. Are you ready to see what's next ?! Let's go!
Anyone who has watched the process of creating the game, probably knows what is the story behind it. In short, you will play the main role of a mercenary named V, who is trying to make a name for himself in Night City. In one of the moments, one of the operations no longer goes according to plan, and our hero receives some unpleasant but necessary life lessons, and which along the way get to meet Johnny Silverhand. Then, receiving a kick in the ass, we are thrown into the big world, free to decide what to do next, who we will be friends with and where we will go.
We will not open too many parentheses, because you will discover all the rest yourself during the game. But, overall, the game is really very interesting and worth exploring just for the sake of history. Let's talk a little about Johnny Silverhand, played by Keanu Reeves. If you think that Keanu Reeves will not be present enough in the game for you, you do not have to worry, it will be enough. You will have a BOOM of Silverhand! He comments on practically any action of the protagonist, always taking him by the leg and making jokes about him. Overall, Johnny turned out to be a complex but controversial character, which is really great.
Open word games are in the top trends right now, but many of them suffer from huge, half-empty worlds, designed to artificially stretch time, and to find really good content you will have to wander them far and wide. Fortunately, all the above is not about Cyberpunk 2077. The universe of the game Cyberpunk is very big, but not huge, but fortunately, it has a super content. Quests, side missions, small adventures, fixed operations, bandit shooting, collecting objects - all this being enough for a few hundred hours of play.
Night City
In addition, the program will throw you from one corner to another, so you get acquainted with Night City as quickly as possible and that's a plus, considering that the city here is a separate character. It is difficult to explain, but the megapolis lives, in a way, its own life. A pile of cars and people, in some areas there is not even a free space where a hair can fall out and you can often get stuck in a traffic jam even at the most inopportune moment. I think you need to visit Night City to understand how things are here.
System and Character upgrade
As for the game system and character upgrade, nothing unusual awaits us. The protagonist has 5 basic skills: strength, intelligence, reaction, technique and cold blood. Each of them has its own set of features. You want to break the skulls quickly and efficiently - invest in strength. Intelligence is the business card of a skilled hacker, and if you intend to create new articles and objects, invest in the technical branch. The maximum level of the character is 50, so I don't think you will be able to work hard on all these features and become the god of the universe. You could settle for Legend.
Moreover, reputation is as important as an account full of bank loans. No one will want to deal with street punk, and in order to earn a reputation and get credit, you have to work. Fortunately, the game is full of missions and quests, which create an imaginary bridge with the basic story. No spoiler! We will only tell you that you will be able to enter the skin of a detective, a spy or even a mediator between two parties. Tasks will not be limited to trivial murder scenes, you will need to set in motion your communication skills and intelligence, in some cases. Keep your eyes peeled, however, you are surrounded by bad guys who need to teach you a lesson.
What do you hear about weapons?
One of the main questions players are waiting for an answer to is: "What do you hear about weapons?". Compared to The Witcher, things are much better here, and the arsenal of weapons and fighting techniques is much more advanced. In the world of Cyberpunk, engineering has gone a long way. Of course, we don't have laser guns or plasma cannons, but you will find the right weapon for every taste and size. You can choose from a rifle that spits bullets, smart weapons that self-target enemies and electromagnetic cannons that propel at the speed of light.
Each of these weapons behaves completely differently, but looks and sounds impeccable.
For those who take the role of Samurai too seriously, the game provides a rich arsenal of melee weapons. Nails, strong hammers, bludgeons and, of course, katanas for real samurai. For those who want to remain unseen, there are blades built into strong hands and fists to create a closer relationship with enemies.
Speaking of implants, we have a large selection of possible modifications to our skin and bone casing. In addition to the blades in our hands, we can install standing arches, replace the skin with an anti-bullet one, put a few memory cards and chips in our brain, we can do a lung transplant and so on. Money to be! Ohh and reputation. In Night City you will not find someone who wants to provide services to a "NOBODY".
As for transport, we don't have that many cars, but at least they are varied and you have a lot to choose from. Cars are very different from each other and behave practically differently on the road. Some are suitable for fast racing, others are only good for wilderness travel. We also find from those cars capable of taking the gates out of the ground and taking on a few bandits for complete destruction. In addition, your four-wheeled horse is a perfect place to store weapons, if you don't feel like taking them around town.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a huge RPG, with an interesting setting, a good story, extremely charismatic characters and a captivating journey. Cyberpunk - the perfect game for hundreds of hours in a city of the future. We are not talking about perfection, but it is a cool game that is worth the 8 years of waiting. So, Samurai, are you ready to turn this city to ashes ?!

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the main topics at the end of 2020, about which Bemorepanda have already written a lot of materials and will write as much more. And not only about the game, but also about the "cyberpunk" genre as such - against the background of the RPG release, we are sure that it will again become extremely popular. Stay tuned!
Eight years of waiting, multiple transfers and an incredibly high level of hype - Cyberpunk 2077's road to release was not easy. For CD Projekt RED, this game seems to be a magnum opus, and for players it is proof that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was not an accident and that the studio can consistently create iconic and very cool projects.
Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated games of our time. And what can help ease the painful expectation even a little? Of course, good (and not so) jokes! That's why we've put together a selection of memes for you on the next big RPG from CD Projekt RED.

In times of pandemic, each of us has played a game at least once. When you stay home in self-isolation you can spend more interactive time in front of a video game. Reddit made the top of the 5 games of 2020, which were the most played and asked.
Bemorepanda has collected information about each of them and is ready to share with you. How do you think the production games of 2020 were in these places? Or the typical games like Minecraft and Fortnite?
Let's see together what games aroused the interest of gamers in 2020, the year of the pandemic and the time spent at home.
Most Popular Video Games of 2020 by Community Activity
League of Legends, abbreviated as LoL, is a role-playing video game with elements of a real-time strategy (MOBA), developed and released by Riot Games on October 27, 2009 for Microsoft Windows and Apple Macintosh platforms. The game is distributed free-to-play. The game has a monthly audience of 100 million players worldwide (September 2016).
Similar to game sports, League of Legends is played in separate parties (sessions). To play the game in a certain mode, you must submit an application and wait for the automatic matchmaking for the next game. Selection is carried out taking into account the player's rating in the corresponding mode. A game session usually lasts 16-65 minutes, depending on the mode. Each game starts with a clean slate, that is, all players have the same lowest starting level, starting amount of resources.
The League of Legends player with his account is called the Summoner. Before the start of the game, through the summoner interface, the player selects a champion (playable character), adjusts his characteristics using runes and selects two additional skills common to all champions - the summoner spell.
The goal of most game modes is to consistently destroy all enemy structures protecting the main building at the base of the team - the nexus. The team that destroyed the nexus wins, and the other team is defeated. Towers and inhibitors are located on the approaches to the nexus. As defensive structures, towers fire at approaching enemy targets, giving priority to non-player characters - minions programmed to move along a certain line in the direction of the enemy nexus, etc., attacking champions in the last turn ; inhibitors summon waves of minions. Denying minions, neutral monsters in the forest, and destroying buildings brings the champion experience points, which increase the champion's level, and gold necessary to buy items that enhance his characteristics.
Each summoner has the ability to control only one champion (with some exceptions), but depending on the set of his skills, he can interact in a certain way with the characters of other players (heal, speed up, improve characteristics, attack, etc.). One of the important goals and components of the game is killing enemy champions, for the first blood (first kill) of a champion in the game is given more gold than for a regular kill. If a champion dies, after a while he comes to life at his starting base. Unlike real-time strategies, the player cannot control minions, and modifications to buildings are not provided.
By default, the movement of the champion in the game is controlled by the mouse, and the use of skills and items is by keyboard keys.
Minecraft is an indie sandbox computer game developed by Swedish programmer Markus Persson and published by his company Mojang AB. Persson published the initial version of the game in 2009; at the end of 2011, a stable version for Microsoft Windows PCs was released, which was distributed through the official website. In the following years, Minecraft was ported to Linux and macOS for personal computers; on Android, iOS and Windows Phone for mobile devices; for the PlayStation 4, Vita, VR, Xbox One, Nintendo 3DS, Switch and Wii U game consoles. In 2014, Microsoft acquired Mojang AB and the rights to Minecraft for $ 2.5 billion. 4J Studios ported the game to consoles, and Xbox Game Studios developed a multi-platform version of Minecraft and a special edition of the game for educational institutions.
Persson wrote Minecraft in Java using the LWJGL rendering library, drawing inspiration from games such as Dwarf Fortress, Dungeon Keeper, and Infiniminer. Minecraft provides the player with a procedurally generated and modifiable three-dimensional world, completely consisting of cubes - it can be freely rebuilt, creating complex structures from these cubes - this feature makes the game similar to the LEGO constructor. Minecraft does not set any specific goals for the player, but offers him freedom of action: for example, the player can explore the world, extract minerals, fight opponents, and much more. The game includes additional modes, for example, "survival", where the player needs to get resources himself, and "creativity", where the player has these resources in unlimited quantities. The mechanics of "redstone" allows you to create complex logic circuits in the game - thus the game can serve as a virtual constructor for programmers and engineers.
Minecraft has received widespread acclaim from the gaming press and numerous awards. Critics have highlighted such main advantages as replayability, minimalistic design, dynamic soundtrack and extraordinary creative freedom, limited only by the player's imagination; they considered the disadvantages of the presence of unfinished items and the difficulty of creating a network game, as well as the lack of a training mode in the game. The developers have eliminated these shortcomings in the following years. As of summer 2020, over 200 million copies were sold across all platforms, making Minecraft the best-selling game in history, with 132 million players launching the game at least once a month. User-generated content, including YouTube videos and many third-party modifications, have played a large role in the popularization and commercial success of Minecraft. A number of spin-off games have been released over the years, including Minecraft: Story Mode, Minecraft Earth, and Minecraft Dungeons.
Animal Crossing is a series of life simulation video games developed and published by the Japanese company Nintendo and created by Japanese game designer Katsuya Eguchi. In the games of the series, the player takes on the role of a human resident living in a village inhabited by anthropomorphic animals and engages in various activities, such as fishing, catching beetles and fossil mining. The series is known for lacking an end per se and for using real time from the console to simulate real time flow.
Five major Animal Crossing games have been released worldwide, one each for Nintendo 64 / iQue Player (enhanced version re-released on Nintendo GameCube), Nintendo DS, Wii, Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Switch. In addition, three spinoffs were released: the sandbox game Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer for Nintendo 3DS, the board game Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival for Wii U and the life simulator Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp for mobile devices.
4.Fortnite
Fortnite is an online computer game developed by the American company Epic Games and released to Early Access in 2017. Fortnite offers players a choice of three separate modes: Fortnite: Save the World, an open-world cooperative survival simulator in which players are invited to work together to fight off zombie-like monsters with weapons and various buildings; Fortnite: Battle Royale is a competitive battle royale game where 100 players must battle each other until only one is left alive. and the Fortnite: Creative mode added in 2018, a sandbox mode in which players can create various structures of their own, like Minecraft. Fortnite: Save the World was released on Windows, macOS, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms, and Fortnite: Battle Royale and Fortnite: Creative, in addition to the platforms listed, also on handheld devices - Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android. The game is distributed primarily through digital distribution on a free-to-play model; physical versions of the game are published by Gearbox Publishing.
While Fortnite: Save the World and Fortnite: Creative have also achieved commercial success, it is Fortnite: Battle Royale that has become extremely popular as a cultural phenomenon; in March 2019, the number of players in this mode reached 250 million. At the end of 2018, the game won the 22nd D.I.C.E. Awards - awards from the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, winning the Outstanding Achievement in Online Gameplay category.
5.Destiny
Destiny is a first-person shooter video game developed by Bungie and published by Activision. It was released in 2014 on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
Destiny is set in a sci-fi world. The player takes control of a playable character called the Guardian - the defender of the last safe city on Earth. According to the plot of the game, the Guardians possess a supernatural power called Light, which helps them defend the city from invasions of aggressive aliens.
Bungie has also released four expansion packs to expand the game's storyline, as well as new items, weapons, and missions. In the first year, two small expansions were released: The Dark Below in December 2014 and House of Wolves in May 2015. A larger expansion called The Taken King, which made significant changes to the gameplay, was released in September 2015. The latest expansion, Rise of Iron, was released. in September 2016.
In September 2017, Destiny 2 was released, a direct sequel to the game.

Cyberpunk 2077 is an Action RPG in which you will visit the dystopian metropolis of Night City. Money, power, big guns and top-end "chrome" rule the show here. Get used to the role of V - a mercenary looking for an implant that grants immortality. Install cyberimplants, acquire new skills, explore a huge open world and make a total destruction! All your actions and decisions affect the course of events and the world around you!
Bemorepanda has collected for you, some interesting things about Cyberpunk 2077, let's see what else is said about the game.
1.The quality of Cyberpunk 2077 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One was so low that both Sony and Microsoft agreed to refund disgruntled customers, and the Japanese corporation also removed the game from the PlayStation Store. One would assume that such a disaster hit CP2077 sales hard, but by the end of the first 10 days, the RPG circulation exceeded 13 million copies, even taking into account the returned copies. According to analysts, this figure is comparable to the starting figures for Red Dead Redemption 2 and the most successful Call of Duty titles.
2.On the release of Cyberpunk 2077, journalists and ordinary users drew attention to a funny detail: in the world of the game, dildos are too common - they can even be found in doorways, restaurants and workshops where people are taken apart. According to CP2077 Senior Quest Designer Philipp Weber, the authors simply wanted to show that the 2077 society is more relaxed and sexually open than ours. However, the frequency of dildos appearing in Night City has been reduced.
3.In one of the game bars, you can find a character clearly copied from Hideo Kojima, the eminent developer, creator of the Metal Gear series. In Cyberpunk 2077, a man with Kojima's appearance is named Oshima - he listens to ideas for films and says that he wants to convey pure emotions in his works.
4.The release of the game on the base PlayStation 4 and Xbox One turned out to be simply monstrous in technical terms - it turned out that Cyberpunk 2077 for the eighth generation platforms works in dynamic resolution, sagging to 720p, the frame rate in demanding scenes drops to 15-20 frames per second, and during free exploration of the world of action does not hesitate to hang, feverishly loading something. The situation was aggravated by the fact that CD Projekt RED until the last hid information about the deplorable state of these versions - pre-release videos were shot on more powerful consoles and PCs, and early copies for journalists were only computer. Under the pressure of dissatisfied reviews, the authors of the game apologized and promised a refund to everyone who did not want to wait for patches.
5.At the pre-order stage, the game was purchased approximately 8 million times. Of those 8 million, 59% of the copies came from the PC and 41% from the console. Thus, the initial circulation of the PC version was about 4.72 million copies, which made Cyberpunk 2077 the fastest-selling PC game in history - the Polish RPG broke the World of Warcraft: Shadowlands record (around 3.7 million copies on the first day), which was set in November 2020, just a couple of weeks before the launch of CP2077. The proceeds from Cyberpunk pre-orders covered the development and marketing costs of the project until the end of 2020.
6.On release, Cyberpunk 2077 attracted a huge number of players and viewers. So, in the Steam version alone, the peak online per day exceeded a million users; for the Valve site, this is a record among single games - earlier the leader was Fallout 4 with 472 thousand concurrent visitors. In addition, Cyberpunk amassed over a million concurrent viewers on Twitch.
7.Actor Doug Cockle, who voiced Geralt in the English-language version of the Witcher games, offered CD Projekt RED to give him a small cameo role in Cyberpunk 2077. However, the developers never invited Cockle to the project. In an interview with the press, the artist admitted that he was upset by this turn of events.
8.Cyberpunk 2077's music can be divided into two parts - original music and tracks from guest artists such as singer Grimes and punk rock band Refused. Composers Marcin Przybyłowicz, P. T. Adamczyk and Paul Leonard-Morgan were responsible for the original music. Together they wrote over 7.5 hours of melodies of various genres - from ambient to metal. When creating the tracks, not only modern instruments were used, but also the Soviet synthesizer "Polivoks".
9.The cyberpunk genre is traditionally associated with synthwave - melodic electronic music stylized as tracks from the 1980s. However, the composers of Cyberpunk 2077 have abandoned the use of synthwave - it, they say, sounds too beautiful and clean for such a dirty and gloomy place like Night City.
10.The director of the English-language adaptation of CP2077, Borys Pugacz-Muraszkiewicz, praised the collaboration with Keanu Reeves very positively. While Johnny Silverhand's role is comparable in scale to several feature film roles, Reeves managed in just a few motion capture sessions and 20+ voiceover changes.
11.Actor Keanu Reeves is present in the world of Cyberpunk 2077 not only as rocker Johnny Silverhand. According to CD Projekt RED, the game's universe has its own version of Keanu - an actor who looked so much like Johnny that Reeves was often mistaken for Silverhand after the musician disappeared.
12.Cyberpunk 2077 uses a facial expression generation system from JALI. The technology creates facial animation based on characters' lines - thanks to this system, the lips of the characters are synchronized with the speech in all RPG localizations.
13.To make the virtual cars sound believable, the developers recorded the sounds of more than 40 real cars, such as muscle cars, SUVs and drift cars. With the support of a team of rally mechanics, the sound specialists placed eight microphones in each car - two in the cabin, three near the engine and three in the exhaust area.
14.CD Projekt RED has admitted that it has shortened the main campaign of Cyberpunk 2077 so that it is not as long as in "The Witcher 3". According to CP2077 Senior Quest Designer Patrick Mills, many players have complained to the developers that the key storyline in The Witcher 3 is taking too long. According to CDPR, a huge number of users never completed the main questline in The Witcher 3.
15.The developers from CD Projekt RED knew that Keanu Reeves would appear in the game, more than a year before the actor presented the trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 at E3 2019. According to the authors, the fact that for more than a year not a single leak spoiled the surprise. - a real reason for pride.
16.In mid-2019, NVIDIA posted a screenshot from Cyberpunk 2077 showing a banner advertising the ChroManticure drink. There, curious users spotted a transgender (a man in a woman's outfit, but with a male genital organ) and the inscription: Mix It Up (something in the spirit of "Bring variety"). Minority advocates were immediately alarmed, believing that CD Projekt RED was mocking transgender people. However, a company spokeswoman explained: the world of CP2077 is a capitalist dystopia, where everything is bought and sold, so the image of a transgender person is used by marketers to promote goods.
17.According to John Mamais, at the production stage of Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt RED already had development kits for VR and the company even thought to introduce support for virtual reality headsets into the game. Mamais admitted that the idea was abandoned for financial reasons - VR, they say, is an experimental and niche thing, so it won't bring a lot of money.
18.According to the head of the Krakow studio CD Projekt RED John Mamais (John Mamais), if we compare Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3 in terms of technology, the Witcher is like a two-dimensional game. Since the world of CP2077 has fast cars and tall buildings with elevators, the authors have greatly reworked the resource loading system. Also, specifically for Cyberpunk, CDPR improved the development tools - some of the tasks were transferred to procedural generation.
19.For Cyberpunk 2077, the developers at CD Projekt RED actively consulted with Mike Pondsmith, the creator of the Cyberpunk 2020 board game. Here is just one example of collaboration - to make in-game protective gear more believable, Pondsmith bought a bulletproof backpack and carried it with yourself, studying your feelings and observing the reactions of passers-by.
20.The Swedish punk rock band Refused took part in the creation of the soundtrack for Cyberpunk 2077 - together with the composers of the game, the musicians recorded a mini-album with their songs. In the universe of the game, these tracks were composed by rock band SAMURAI, whose lead vocalist was Johnny Silverhand, played by Keanu Reeves.
21.The presentation of Cyberpunk 2077 at E3 2019, during which it was revealed that one of the roles in the game was played by the actor Keanu Reeves, was one of the highlights of the exhibition. After showing the trailer, Reeves took to the stage, enthralling the audience. When the artist described the thrilling feeling that the CP 2077 players would experience, one of the visitors couldn't help but shout, "You're thrilling!" This moment instantly became a meme, and CD Projekt RED even decided to give the "screamer" who turned out to be "youtuber" Peter Sark, a collector's edition of the game. Sark refused and instead asked CDPR to purchase a GO Kart video game rack for Children’s Hospital.
22.According to Quest Director of Cyberpunk 2077 Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, when creating the game he was inspired by Deus Ex (especially the first part) and Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. In Deus Ex, the author was impressed by the non-linearity that manifests itself not only in dialogues, but also in the way of completing tasks, and he called Bloodlines an ideal example of a first-person RPG.
23.On August 27, the gameplay premiered on the CD Projekt RED Twitch channel. As the resource GitHyp later calculated, at its peak, the demo was watched by 288 thousand people, which made Cyberpunk 2077 the most popular game of the entire day. Considering the restreams, the number was even more impressive - 459 thousand viewers. In addition, the cyberpunk action movie bypassed all competitors who started or were preparing to start at that time: the air on God of War was watched by a maximum of 283 thousand users, on Sea of Thieves - 259 thousand, and the debut of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 - 204 thousand.
