The 63rd edition of the Grammy Awards was Beyonce's gala, but Doja Cat, nominated in 3 categories, impressed with her cleavage, even if she went home without any trophy.
Doja Cat made a sensation with the outfit she chose at this year's Grammy Awards.
The singer chose a non-conformist dress, with a deep neckline, which stole everyone's eyes. At the bottom the dress was made of green feathers and flakes, and the top of the dress was like a leather jacket.
Although he stole all the looks, unfortunately, he failed to get any trophies.
With the three trophies won on Sunday night, Beyonce became the living artist with the most Grammy Awards, 28, and equaled the legendary Quincy Jones.
The trophy for Album of the Year went to Taylor Swift for "Folklore".
The gala was not without controversy. Canadian artist "The Weekend" boycotted the ceremony, angry that he did not receive any nominations. This is despite the fact that his song, "Blinding Lights", broke all sales records.
Several artists criticize the nomination system, which includes several "secret commissions of experts," they accuse. They would disadvantage women and minorities of any kind.
Postponed for 2 months due to the pandemic, the Grammy gala had a partially virtual format, alternating live moments with some recorded ones. Most of those present wore masks.
Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish won the main awards of the 63rd edition of the Grammy gala on Sunday, and Beyonce won awards in four categories, becoming the most awarded woman in Grammy history, reports Reuters.
The surprise album "Folklore", recorded by Taylor Swift during the lockdown, received the award for best album of the year, while Billie Eilish's song "Everything I Wanted" won the award for recording of the year. With Sunday's victory, 31-year-old Taylor Swift becomes the first woman to win the Grammy Award for Best Album three times, matching the performances of music giants such as Stevie Wonder, Frank Sinatra and Paul Simon.
Beyonce's four Grammy Awards on Sunday propelled her overall record to 28 Grammy Awards, breaking the women's record previously held by Alison Krauss.
Beyonce received the Grammy Awards in the R&B ("Black Parade") categories, for the best video ("Brown Skin Girl") and for collaborating with Megan Thee Stallion on the song "Savage", awarded in the categories of best rap song and the best rap performance.
Usually very controlled, Beyonce was visibly moved when she accepted the award for R&B performance that propelled her to the top of the Grammy winners. "As an artist, I consider it my duty, our duty, to reflect the age in which we live," she said, adding that she wants to support and celebrate the work of all the artists of color who inspired her which inspires the whole world.

2022 Grammy Award nominations. A list full of surprises: Barack Obama and ABBA are among the favorites

In a year full of surprises, the Grammy Awards 2022 announced a series of nominations in which the favorite of the year is a jazz pianist. This is Jon Batiste, best known to the public for his role as music director on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
If in the past years the list of Grammy nominations, the most prestigious music gala in the world, was dominated by pop, rock or hip-hop artists, this year is a motley mix of musical genres, veteran artists like ABBA, controversial stars like Lil Nas X or one of the most award-winning artists of the last year, Olivia Rodrigo.
Unusual Grammy 2022 nominations are due to the song, artist and album selection procedure. The famous "secret committee" of music industry specialists was replaced by a popular vote of members of The Recording Academy, about 12,000 music industry professionals representing all genres and types of specialists involved, from singers, composers, lyricists, producers. , instrumentalists, mixers and sound engineers.
Jon Batiste is nominated both for the album "We Are" and for the soundtrack of the animation "Soul" released by Disney. The album peaked at number 86 on the Billboard 200 chart of best-selling albums in the United States, indicating that it sold no more than a few hundred copies.
The nominations were announced in a live broadcast featuring Jon Batiste, Billie Eilish, Finneas, H.E.R., BTS, Måneskin, Tayla Parx, Carly Pearce, Nate Bargatze and Tammy Hurt, the director of the Grammy Awards Steering Committee.
In addition to Batiste, the list of nominations is led by Justin Bieber, Doja Cat and H.E.R. with 8 nominations each while Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo have 7 nominations each. Behind them are Lil Nas X and Brandi Carlile with 5 nominations each while Bruno Mars and his project "Silk Sonic" which he co-created with Anderson. Paak received 4 nominations.
Jay-Z wrote history by becoming the most nominated artist in the history of the Grammy Awards. This year he received 3 nominations, totaling 82 nominations over his career, with one more than Paul McCartney having 81 nominations.
Also in the surprise category are Barack Obama, nominated for the audio version of the book "A Promised Land" and ABBA who received a mention for the song "I Still Have Faith in You" which marked the return of the Swedish band after 40 years.
The number of nominees in the main categories, nicknamed by music critics "The Big Four" - "Song of the year", "Artist of the Year", "Record of the Year" and "Album of the Year" - has been expanded from 8 to 10. The selection process has undergone many changes in the last year, especially after the scandal of the last edition in which The Weeknd, the most successful artist of the pandemic year 2020, was omitted from all the main categories.
Thus, in the case of the album Justin Bieber - "Justice", nominated for "album of the year'' and 7 other categories, has a list of 200 composers, producers and sound engineers who worked in the process. At the other end is Billie Eilish with the song "Happier Than Ever" which has only 5 people who created the whole album, all the songs being composed by her and her brother, Finneas.
Of the more than 22,000 Grammy-winning pieces of music in the race, some essential materials are missing, which were among the most broadcast on the radio and the most listened to on streaming platforms. Specifically, missing two of the hits of the year created by Dua Lipa, Elton John, Taylor Swift (has a nomination for the album "Evermore" but the songs were ignored), Bad Bunny (has a single nomination with the album "El ultimo tour del world ”) or Coldplay.

Winning a Grammy is the ticket of any artist to the reputable list that contains the names of some of the most respected artists and composers of all time, such as The Beatles, Frank Sinatra or Elton John. However, the decision to award a Grammy Award for Best Song of the Year is slightly more complicated.
There are three major Grammy Awards trophies. "Best Record of the Year" awards, on the one hand, the composers who wrote and composed the song, and "Album of the Year" and "Song of the Year" award the performer and production team.
For 60 years, the "Best Recording of the Year" category has rewarded songs that have become part of music history, but also included difficult decisions. Here are 14 moments worth mentioning in the history of the awards.
In 1959, when the category was launched, the prize was awarded to Domenico Modugno for the song "Volare". His song had already been a new entry to the Eurovision Song Contest a year ago and had been on the Billboard charts for five weeks. These things brought fame to the artist. Modugno later became involved in politics, and things got so big that he was barred from entering Chile to perform.
Jimmy Webb's "By the Time I Get to Phoenix" is recognized as one of the classic songs of the '60s. In 1967, the song was nominated for "Best Record of the Year", but the song was dethroned by another, also Webb's, "Up, up and away". So, the song that gave the name of the debut album made Grammy history as one of the most romantic songs of longing.
The song "Little green apples", composed by Bobby Russel, is a true masterpiece; that kind of country song that makes you feel like you're getting into the scenery. Initially, the song was recorded by the well-known Roger Miller, but then artists such as Patti Page and OC Smith did the cover in 1968, and Smith's version won him the Grammy for "Best Recording of the Year". Some thought that another song could have won, but it is certain that "Hey Jude" by The Beatles missed.
11. "I didn't even know that people who couldn't sing a note and were tone-deaf were eligible for any Grammys.~ Hillary Clinton
12. “By the way, I got a Grammy, which was a big thrill.” ~ Marian McPartland
13. “I’ve got a Grammy and Emmy, I’d like to have a Tony.” ~ Cyndi Lauper
14. “I’ve always said I can’t tell sometimes that people even have an album out until I see them nominated for a Grammy. I think country gets dumped on across the board by the Grammys.” ~ Toby Keith
15. “It could be Grammy night, Oscar night, whatever – I don’t feel the pressure to be there.” ~ Idris Elba
16. “She could have a Grammy. I'd still treat her ass like a nominee.” ~ Drake
17. “When Elton John sang a duet with the white rapper Eminem on a Grammy telecast, rap went mainstream. Massive parental headaches followed.” ~ Bill O’Reilly
Although Lennon and McCartney represent the most successful partnership of composers in the history of pop music, the band won only once, with the song "Michelle", from the album "Rubber soul", the trophy "Best recording of the year". The decision was all the more interesting as the song was not released as a single and did not reach the American charts. However, it was the most broadcast song on the radio in the United States.
Until the mid-1970s, Grammy jurors kept pop music at bay, celebrating more Simon & Garfunkel or Barbra Streisand music. It wasn't until 1975 that the pop style received some attention with the Bee Gees. "Jive talkin" or "Get down tonight" by KC & The Sunshine Band or with the song "Fame" by David Bowie. The award went to Judy Collins' "Send in the Clowns."
No matter what James Bond movies say, the truth is that they gave birth to a considerable number of great pop songs, including "Live & let die" (Wings) or "We have all the time in the world" (Louis Armstrong). ). Only one, however, received a nomination for "Best Record of the Year". Carly Simon's song "Nobody does it better" was the theme of "The Spy Who Loved Me" (1977). However, he lost to two other film compositions, "Evergreen" and "You light up my life", both of which were themes for "A star is born". Accidentally, it was the only time two songs shared the same prize.
Jimmy Webb was not the only multi-Grammy nominee. Michael McDonald was in the same situation, but with two different composers. The nominations were for the songs "Minute by minute", for which he collaborated with the studio Doobie Lester Abrams, and "What a fool believes", written with Kenny Loggins, with which he won the award.
Few artists in the 1980s, with the exception of Madonna and Prince, could be compared to Michael Jackson, but despite dominating all the charts, his songs or those of his composers were not very successful at the '80s Grammy Awards. to the two important categories. The exception was "We are the world", sung with Lionel Richie, who won "Best Record of the Year". In 1983, Jackson won the "Beat it" award for "Song of the Year," and the "Album of the Year" trophy went to him for "Thriller."
18. “I liked getting the Grammy more than not getting it.” ~ Jakob Dylan
19. “One of the high points of my career was winning the Grammy for ‘I Will Survive.'” ~ Gloria Gaynor
20. “A Grammy is really nice, but having lots of fans is really nice, too. I think just getting a record out is a success on its own.” ~ Dan Auerbach
21. “Every year there’s an Oscar and Grammy and we celebrate those shows. We do the same in the U.S about sports schools and colleges. The same thing doesn’t happen for tech and STEM.” ~ will.i.am
22. “A brilliant 1989 album, Oh Mercy; some career retrospectives; and two albums of American folk songs, with just Bob Dylan and his guitar and harmonica. All that culminated in the Grammy-winning comeback album, Time Out of Mind (1997). Once again, just as Dylan seemed to be out of it, he was back at the top of his game.” ~ Bob Dylan
23. “I never set out now to get a Grammy, or get an American Music Award, but it still is nice to be recognized.” ~ Ginuwine
Of all the 1989 songs that could come to mind, such as "Like a Prayer" (Madonna), "Turn Back Time" (Cher) or "Back to Life" (Soul II Soul), the jurors chose Wind Beneath My Wings. ", Bette Middler's play. This award was followed, one year later, by another, for the song "From a distance". Interesting decisions, some would say, as if Madonna didn't even exist.
Music and film go hand in hand, and the Grammys and Oscars have always been on the same stage. In 1994, the soundtrack "The Lion King" gave Elton John and Tim Rice some applause for "Circle of life" and "Can you feel the love", but the victory went to Bruce Springsteen for the song "Streets". of Philadelphia ”from the Oscar-winning film“ Philadelphia ”.
The reputation of the Grammy Awards is that they appreciate commercial success. And yet, the reality is that some of the world's greatest artists have never been awarded. The Rolling Stones, Madonna, David Bowie and Queen were never nominated, and Prince was nominated only once, and then it was for his own version of Sinead O'Connor's "Nothing Compares to You."
Although nominated for "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" in 1987, the award went to the Linda Ronstadt / James Ingram duo and the song "Somewhere Out There", in 2000 U2 got its revenge. The song "Beautiful Day" won the boys the award, and five years later they were rewarded for "Sometimes You Can't Make It on Your Own."
Composing a song requires involvement, inspiration, and mutual help. Bruno Mars's "That's What I Like" involved seven composers, including the artist, but this directly brought him the award in 2017.
When this category was invented, there were only five songs in competition. Today, maybe because we have broadened our horizons and we prefer the song and not the album, at the 2020 edition in the competition there are eight songs between which the battle for the prize is going on.

48. “The biggest reward from that record was the enthusiasm everyone had to sing on it. The Grammy nominations and the chart positions are great, but ultimately the way you interact with other musicians is the most important thing to me.” ~ Chris Botti
49. “My brain is very fantastical. If I ever actually recorded myself, I could probably win a Grammy for sex talk. Being on the road while in relationships, you need to learn to pleasure one another.” ~ Dane Cook
50.“I want to win a Grammy. I want to be on the cover of Rolling Stone. I want to be a musical guest on ‘Saturday Night Live.’ And I want to play arenas and have tons of people watching me.” ~ Cheyenne Kimball

Valentine's Day is celebrated annually on February 14th. It is the holiday that gives couples another reason to express their feelings, but also the holiday that helps single people meet their soul mate. Here are the traditions and customs around Valentine's Day.
Valentine’s Day is celebrated annually around the world, but under different names, but also on other days. For example, in Latin America, Valentine's Day is known as Love Day and Friendship Day.
Also in Brazil, Valentine’s Day is celebrated on June 12, the day before St. Anthony, the patron saint of marriage. Valentine's Day customs vary from culture to culture. Over time, Valentine's Day has given many gifts, but the modern tradition of giving chocolate as a gift came in the late 1800s from Richard Cadbury, son of John Cadbury, the famous chocolate maker.
In Japan, women are the ones who give gifts to men on February 14th. It's true that I only give away chocolate, and the chocolate I choose differs depending on the type of relationship. For example, the normal one is offered out of obligation to bosses, colleagues and friends, and the fine one, to the lover, fiancé or husband.
And in South Korea, women offer chocolate to men. And they give women anything but chocolate. In Finland, many couples get engaged or get married on February 14, but this day is more about friendship than love. According to tradition, it is an occasion for gatherings between friends, who make symbolic gifts. In some parts of Britain, on Valentine's Day, girls put bay leaves under their pillows and eat only salted eggs, believing that this is how they will dream of their chosen one overnight.
This holiday is celebrated all over the world. And of course we also have a lot of jokes, besides all the love and sweetness. Bemorepanda has collected this funny top for you.
