worlds-most-popular-pokemon-characters

Those born in the 90s are probably familiar with the mega-popular cartoon Pokemon. Remember how all the fans of these creatures bought up posters and chips with their images and cartridges for "Dandy"? Pokémon has become a whole era. And even though the Pokemon universe has existed for several decades, it still does not lose its popularity. And as soon as this popularity begins to subside, it is revived by releasing a new “viral product.” The modern Pokemon Go game turned out to be such a product not so long ago. And in 2019, a film was released with beloved and funny characters - “Pokemon. Detective Pikachu. In this publication, we have collected the most interesting facts about the Pokémon universe and its characters.

Why are Pokemon characters so famous worldwide?

There are no animals in the Pokemon world, only Pokemon. They are similar to ordinary animals. Plant Pokémon can feed on photosynthesis. Pokemon have a struggle for territory, a power struggle.

It is tough to develop something new without building on what already exists in our world. So in "Pokemon," they did not reinvent the wheel but simply created them based on actual living beings and objects. One of the features of Pokemon is the external copying of prototypes without any noticeable changes or additions. However, the authors deviate from each generation, overloading Pokemon with details and colors.

Most famous pokemon characters

Pikachu

The most recognizable Pokémon is an icon of Japanese pop culture. Even people who are far from this whole story have at least once seen this yellow cutie with a tail in the form of a lightning bolt. And his thin, pleasant voice, falsetto deducing “Pika-pika!”, Can move even the most callous brutalist to tears. But don't be fooled. Pikachu is cunning and dangerous! And his chubby red cheeks are fraught with a deadly threat. After all, in them, he does not accumulate nuts at all but an electric charge comparable in power to a lightning strike. In everyday life, Pikachu uses his superpower to toast berries. But when it comes to a duel, he throws all his cheek energy at the opponent. He is very wayward but at the same time attached to his coach and sometimes even sentimental. TV Guide listed him as one of the 50 most fantastic cartoon characters. In 2003, Forbes magazine ranked Pikachu as the eighth most profitable fictional character globally. In 2003, Mouse Pokémon made $825 million. We think this year this figure will be beaten. Evolves into Pichu. The third form is Raichu.

 Mew

Mewis a small cat Pokémon with cream fur that turns brown on the tips of its hind legs and tail. Its ovoid head has four protruding antennae, wide eyes with slit pupils, two pointed teeth in the upper jaw, and a gold koban coin embedded in its forehead. Its ears are black with brown insides and between an additional pair of long whiskers. Mewis, a four-legged Pokémon, can walk on its hind legs; while the games always depict two legs, the anime states that Mew usually walks on all fours. He can freely manipulate his claws, retracting them when he wants to creep. The tip of the tail is firmly curled.

Mew was presented to Alola as a gift to the royal family. The luxurious royal lifestyle soon led Mew to move away from his origins and become the selfish, proud, and cunning Alolan Meowth. Alolan Mew will be furious if his coin or pride is tampered with. When the monarchy fell, the rare Alola Mew became wild and eventually became as common in Alola as elsewhere. The fur of the Alola Mewis light blue-gray. Instead of brown spots, the tip of the tail, whiskers, and insides of the ears are whitish gray. The whiskers of the Alola Mew have a slight curvature compared to the straight whiskers of the regular Mew. The Alolan Mew also has silver eyes.

Charizard

Charizard is significantly different from his pre-evolutions. He has wings that allow him to fly freely. Charizard also has a longer neck and long tail. Now he has a more elongated muzzle. There are two horns on the head, plus a horn on each wing. There are three claws on the paws. Outwardly, Charizard is very similar to dragons from Western mythology. Charizard has light red or orange skin and a cream-colored belly. The inside of his wings is dark blue. Charizard is the only starter with this feature. At the end of his tail, a flame burns, the size of which can be used to judge the strength and health of a Charizard. Charizard and its pre-evolution are the only Pokémon for which the flame is a part of the body that cannot be extinguished without harming the Pokémon.

Haunter

Haunter is a purple Pokémon with a gaseous body. It has a round head surrounded by three large spikes on either side. He has triangular eyes with small pupils and a mouth with a long pink tongue. The gases that make up its head curve into its mouth. Disembodied hands float in front of his body. Haunter's gaseous form makes it one of the lightest Pokémon in existence.

The Haunter hides in very dark places, such as caves, and is afraid of the light. If a person or Pokémon approaches the Haunter, it will chase the victim while swimming and call them to him. Approaching, he licks the victim with his gaseous tongue, causing convulsions in the victim that last until death. He can also swim through walls. In the anime, it has been shown that it can control its hands from afar and can control any Pokémon it touches with its hands. Despite his predatory nature, he has been known to entertain and play pranks on people in the anime. In addition, he has even been shown to have a solid loyalty to the deceased Coach. In Generation I, Nightshade was his calling card.

Gyarados

Gyarados is a snake-like Pokémon with a long body covered in slightly overlapping scales, much like the dragon of Chinese mythology. It is primarily blue with a yellow underbelly, and it has a row of yellow spots on its sides. Its mouth is huge and gaping, with four sharp teeth and yellow lips. It has one whisker and a small white fin on each side of the muzzle. The female mustache is white. The male is yellow. It has small red eyes, a three-pointed dark blue crest on its head, and four white, spiny dorsal fins. The tail fin of Gyarados is similar in structure to the range on its charge, except for a thin white fin scattered between the tips.

Metagross

This is a reasonably large pokemon blue-steel color. His body is round, with four powerful paws ending in three claws. Metegross also has two red eyes.

He has a hot temper and loves to fight. His previous form can hover, suggesting his connection to the Earth's magnetic field. But with proper training, Metagros becomes a good friend and helper.

Umbreon

Umbreon is a four-legged black Pokémon. The Umbreon has mostly smooth black fur with luminescent yellow rings around its ears and tail and circular yellow circular patterns on its forehead and each upper leg. It has long pointed ears and red eyes, and unlike its Eeveelution counterparts, it also has visible black-colored oval pupils. Umbreon has a slightly bushy black tail with a single yellow ring surrounding its thickest part; the bottom is thinner at the tip. Umbreon has small sharp fangs that are visible when it opens its mouth (one pair of fangs in the upper jaw and one in the lower jaw).

Tyranitar

Tyranitar is a powerful Pokémon with an arrogant personality. Because of this, he is always on the lookout for battles and will not flinch at anything, though he ignores opponents that he thinks are not worth his time. However, he respects those who have shown peaceful and benevolent actions regarding his offspring.

It is solid, and its thick, rocky hide gives it good resistance to all forms of attack. If Tyranitar goes on a rampage, it causes violent earthquakes that can completely change the entire landscape, destroying houses and mountains and forcing cartographers to draw up new maps.

The Tyranitar has the Sand Torrent ability, which can summon a sandstorm when it goes into battle. It can prevent opponents from eating their berry if the Tyranitar has the Nervous ability.

How to collect pokemon characters?

When you walk in the real world, moving around the game map in this way, you will come across different Pokemon that can be caught using a Pokeball. As soon as a monster appears on the map around you, poke your finger at it and start the combat mode. The first thing to do is turn off AR mode. While there are so many hilarious photos of this model on the internet, it's less convenient and eats up more phone batteries (believe me, you'll need it). As soon as you see a Pokemon in front of you, pinch your finger on the Pokeball and throw it, giving it momentum to set a specific flight path. Some Pokémon are closer to you; some are farther away.

As soon as you hold your finger on the Poké Ball, a white ring will appear on the Pokémon with a second moving colored ring inside it. The inner circle color indicates the difficulty of catching a Pokémon: green - easy, yellow - medium, red - difficult. With a red circle, it may take you a lot of attempts to catch a Pokémon.

It is optimal if you hit the Pokemon precisely where its inner ring closes. Moreover, the smaller the colored circle and the more accurate the throw with a hit inside the ring, the more likely it will receive a Nice, Great, or Excellent bonus (additional experience points for the character).

Sometimes a Pokémon can break out of a Poké Ball immediately after being caught. It doesn't matter. Just see it again and try to do it with slightly different timing to make sure you get Great or Excellent - this will give you extra experience and increase your chances of catching the Pokémon.

And the Pokemon can run away from you right during the battle or immediately after jumping out of the Pokeball. As far as we know, no one has yet figured out the exact reasons that affect the escape.

Try to catch new Pokemon that you have not seen before because, for this, they give an extra 500 XP. And so, for the capture of each, you will be given 100 XP, another 50 XP for the Great Throw (described above).

Pokémon are found in various places in your city/village/field/mountain/desert. Their types roughly depend on the area, as well as on the time of day. In parks and forests, you will come across more forest Pokémon (plants, worms, butterflies, women). In the city - more city ones (rats, birds, ghosts), and in the park - park ones (mimes, fish, crabs).

IMPORTANT: in sparsely populated areas with few Pokemon GO users, monsters will come across to you less often. And in crowded places, like a large tourist center, a store or a city center - more often. There are already a lot of screenshots on Reddit with situations when people stumbled upon a crowd of Pokémon in some kind of passage place, like a gas station.

In the lower right corner of the main interface, there is a unique Pokemon tracking, which shows how far away from you this or that monster is. You can open this module, tap on the desired Pokémon and try to walk in the real world to see if the number of tracks decreases (three is far, one is close). The closer the Pokémon is to you, the more minor traces remain in the tracking menu. One track, judging by the players' testimony, is approximately 40 meters.

At level 12, you will be given new Great Pokeballs, which will allow you to catch powerful and rare Pokemon faster and more likely. At level 20, the game will give out even cooler Ultra Pokeballs, which, as you understand, are needed for even more excellent Pokemon.
