january-2021-celebrate-global-belly-laugh-day-with-30-funny-tweets-and-memes

Belly Laugh Day is celebrated on 24th January.Adherents of the mentioned therapy claim that laughter contributes to the release of endorphins and changes the mood for good after only a few minutes. Endorphins, sometimes called "happiness molecules", are chemicals produced by the brain in response to a variety of stimuli. They can reduce stress, their analgesic properties being compared even with those of morphine. Moreover, the release of endorphins in the body can improve the circulatory system and strengthen the immune system.

The benefits of laughter do not stop at a momentary euphoria and the improvement of one's health, but include a better relationship with others, laughter being a positive, often contagious energy that helps people make friends or improve them.

facts-about-global-belly-laugh-day-and-why-laughting-is-important

Dostoevsky said that "If a man laughs with all his heart, it means he is a good man." People have been fascinated by laughter for decades; There are many studies on laughter, and some of them have revealed some pretty interesting things.

Bemorepanda knows that laughter is one of the best ways to deal with stress, and scientific research supports this intuition. Some studies go even further, comparing the effect of laughter to that of a high-reaction drug or a contagious virus that brings a lot of benefits to the mind and body.

Laughter is a means of communication, but also a way to relax and eliminate inner tensions, while helping us to establish interpersonal relationships and develop an optimistic spirit. The therapeutic valences of laughter have been mentioned since ancient times by physicians, people of culture, sages, scholars or philosophers.

Some consider laughter to be superficial and inappropriate for a certain status or age and to be childish. In fact, when we laugh, we get many benefits and spread positive energy around us. We should discover our sense of humor in case we lose it, not be sober and rigid, have a more open and optimistic approach to life.

It is true that there are many problems that cause sadness, but it is beneficial to intensify the moments when we laugh. Over the years we have found that it is better to laugh than to cry, or at least, if we cry twice, we should laugh three times.

About laughter

1. Frequent laughter (and from the heart) helps the body fight diseases. By changing the levels of cortisol in the body, laughter lowers stress levels and fights against things that could be harmful to us.

2. You can replace going to the gym with a healthy dose of laughter. Well, not really. But when you laugh, you strengthen the muscles of the face, stomach and diaphragm. And every 15 minutes of laughter burns up to 40 calories. That's put in as exercise, isn't it?

3. Researchers claim that people laughed before they could speak. They believe that laughter was used as a way for people to relate to each other millions of years before they developed their lung power for language.

4. The sense of humor is genetic. A Northwestern University study found that people with the shorter 5-HTTLPR gene laugh faster at funny cartoons or videos than those with the same longer gene.

5. Aren't you a coffee lover? We have good news! Laughter shortly after waking up can have similar effects to drinking a cup of coffee. The next time you laugh as soon as you get up, you will notice how quickly the effect is felt.

6. Laughter helps networking. How? It has been shown to create an instant connection between individuals and reduce the stress felt in an unknown social context.

7. Just as yawning is contagious, so is laughter! That's why many comedy series have those laughs in the background. Even if you don't see it, the sound is enough to cheer you up.

8. Laughter helps memory. A team of researchers from California divided a group of 20 middle-aged adults into two groups. One group was shown funny videos, while the other group waited quietly for 20 minutes. Immediately after both groups I took a test to observe short-term memory. The results showed that those who laughed did much better in the test.

9. Laughter helps the body release endorphins. A recent study shows that the moments when we laugh with those close to us release endorphins in the brain, which potentiates well-being. These chemicals are released through opioid receptors, and the more opioid receptors a person has in their brain, the stronger the effect.

10. Laughter helps us to form social bonds more easily, due to the effect of endorphins, explained above. This is also why laughter is so contagious. Spreading the release of endorphins encourages solidarity and gives us a sense of security. Each brain of people in a social group functions in such moments as a transmitter of these reactions, which in turn triggers the chain reaction similar to a game of dominoes. That's why we sometimes have a smile on our face every time someone laughs, even if we don't know why.

11. Laughter stimulates brain connectivity. Not every episode of laughter arouses for the same reasons and most of the time it is more difficult to understand mental processes than it may seem at first sight. Specialist research has highlighted the differences in perception of the types of laughter, from laughter to joy, sarcasm or teasing, each of which activates new connections between different regions of the brain. Moreover, every time someone laughs, our brain tries to describe the meaning of the reaction and what the person communicates through laughter, and this activity strengthens the connection between different regions of the brain.

12. Laughter is essential for the health of the love affair. A study has shown that women laugh about twice as much as men, but the latter are the ones who arouse moments of laughter. Researchers believe that there are good reasons why this is the case, and they mainly refer to the way relationships between people are formed, as well as the way in which love relationships develop and are maintained. Women tend to characterize the man of their dreams as having, among other qualities, humor, and men are attracted to women who laugh more often.

13. Laughter is a natural antidepressant, because laughter activates the release of the neurotransmitter serotonin, the same chemical in the brain is stimulated by the most used types of antidepressants, SSRI - selective inhibitors of serotonin reabsorption. Although studies do not show how long this effect lasts, laughter has a fairly strong effect on the brain, acting as a drug to relieve depression.

14. In Chinese culture, where laughter has been studied since the 6th century BC, it has been researched how laughter affects the body according to the predominant vowel. This is because the different pronunciation of one vowel or another can cause different internal vibrations. It is not random, but the body decides how we will laugh depending on the area where it is needed to produce these waves. It was concluded that each vowel has a symbolic value, to mobilize certain emotions and to consolidate different aspects.

15. Laughter - this unique characteristic of man - has been shown to make us happier and healthier. Laughter is contagious. According to studies, laughter brings amazing benefits to the body: it helps memory; develops imagination; it has some meditation-like effects; can reduce pain and increase the body's production of natural painkillers such as endorphins and serotonin; thus, the body is more resistant to diabetes, hypertension or cancer; removes impurities from the eyes when we laugh with tears; fights shyness, fear and phobias; increases self-esteem; reduces stress; the skin becomes healthier by eliminating toxins during laughter in cascades; it helps those with heart problems because during laughter the heart relaxes and widens; fights insomnia and helps us lose weight.
